EASY STREET TACO RECIPE
Serves 2
Tree nut, peanut, dairy, and egg allergy friendly
Ingredients: (And the brands that I prefer)
10 Street taco corn tortillas (Mission brand)
6oz (168g) Fresh chicken breast fajita strips (John Soules brand)
Cream cheese (Tofutti vegan cream cheese)
Shredded cheese (Follow Your Heart shredded mozzarella)
Green onion
Mild salsa
Instructions:
Heat chicken in microwave on a microwave safe plate per instructions on the bag.
Cut chicken to preferred size. I prefer to dice the chicken.
Warm corn tortillas by loosely covering them in a damp paper towel and microwaving them on a microwave safe plate in 10 sec intervals until desired temperature.
Line the tortillas up on a plate side by side.
Fill with chicken, cheese, mild salsa, cream cheese and top with green onion.
Serve immediately
NOTES
My goal is to help people with allergies navigate recipes. As an example, although this recipe contains chicken it can be switched out for tofu, beef, turkey, or another protein source of your choosing. Any recipe can be altered to be safe for your allergies. These ingredients work for my family specifically due to us being peanut, tree nut, dairy, and egg free.
